I find this all a bit odd in terms of cause and effect.

Although the intentions of getting the high speed link are/were nothing but noble, I would suggest that the outcome is skewed.

The outcome suggested by Ken is one that cleanses the area by moving 'nicer' people in. Where do the displaced 'not so nice' people go?

Surely the high speed is just as much about enabling people in Dover the ability to work in higher paid positions in the city as it is about attracting new residents.

When people talk about pride in their surroundings and connections with their locality, it seems odd that the solution to improving our area is by bringing in 'better people'. The fabric of the town ie. the shops and facilities, is intrinsically linked with the opportunities available to the residents.

    When will people get this?
