  Thanks for those kind words Jan and Bob i have wondered why that section of the Leas had been cordoned off for many months.
  
  I think the arch has struck the right chord in its simplicity and the atmosphere around it was very respectful, people thinking of the march down the hill, for some troops, the last they would see of England and others that survived traumatised upon return.
