Sue, I'm sure you meant no offence but please give me credit for some intelligence. We first went on the transfer list nearly 6 years ago when my middle daughter was born, this was because as Honor has Down Syndrome she should be in a seperate room. We then renewed the application in August last year when Honor was diagnosed with Perthe's disease and confined to a wheelchair for the majority of the day. Finally we renewed again in September 2007 when I was safely delivered of my third daughter Thalia. This then meant that I have three girls in one room (against council policy, according to their website), the age difference between the oldest and the youngest is eight years (see previous perenthesis) and my oldest cannot walk up the dozen steps leading to our front door without considerable pain (also see previous perenthesis). I have sent my husband the councillor (town not district) to plead our case to the housing officer and the only answer I receive is that we are on the list, the good news is we are entitled to a four bedroom house (finally) but there aren't any available and considering how few there are I can't see one becoming available before my children leave home (with the possible exception of Honor) and I no longer need one.
Howard, Bern I hope they do get me hopefully they'll be more room on the space ship. And Bern I will be at the party with bells on and bring the most expensive bottle of champagne I can afford.
