I put a post on the front page but will add it on here as well.
Thank you very much PaulB, it's always lovely to be featured on Doverforum. Good job by Chris sorting out the front page, maybe putting me on it put the mockers on it ha ha!
Anyways, someone asked me why the name Dispatches? Well it came from the announcements in the papers - Births, Marriages and Deaths also known as Hatched, Matched and Dispatched!
I'm pleased to say that even though it was only launched on 1st of this month it's been selling really well. I discovered during my jaunts around cemeteries that there were a lot of hearse lovers out there and various clubs etc so I started taking photos and hitching rides (might as well enjoy it!)
My husband Les 'pimped' the Rocky Horror promotional hearse that was on tour to promote the shows recently - smoke machine, lights etc so I got to sit in the back of it. It had started life as a real hearse but though there was definitely an 'atmosphere' I didn't feel spooked in any way.
My next book will be a complete departure from hearses and gravestones as it's about graffiti art but I won't be away from those lovely Victorian angels for long!
Yes Howard, the bigger the monument the wealthier you were deemed. To the Victorians your funeral was the most important day of your life!
