That sounds very uplifting Kath, I like that sort of personal touch. What a lovely village funeral too, I bet the marching brought a few smiles amongst the tears.
I must admit that some cardboard coffins used to leave a lot to be desired but last week I was at an exhibit showing a new type of coffin using recycled paper. It had been crafted using traditional techniques with no metal or plastics. It is totally biodegradable and suitable for burial or cremation and available in a choice of pastel colours with a beautiful velvety finish.
This is one of the displays; there was no one in it which is why I took the photo of it.
