Looking on the bright side at least you don’t need a brown bin .Thats another expense paying to have the garden waste collected.Plus another bin to store.
Yes sadly they did not plant trees on the other side of the road. The trees opposite leaves are cleared by contract Gardners .My lawn was covered in leaves but they would not entertain clearing off my garden and driveway .So spare a thought for those of us who have to employ a Gardner.I know the mess that cherry trees cause when the blossom falls .Inmy first home we had Cherry trees all round the Close .The blossom used to stick to the wheels of my pram .Yes I do like to see the trees but spare a thought for those who employ a Gardner
Just to say I have always done my own garden because I LIKE TO DO IT not so good at it now but it does not look to bad but this year it is the wind that is a big problem so that keeps me in at times ,years ago it would only take about 15 mins to cut the lawn but it takes me a good hour now and this wind is not helping.BUT i do not mind sir.
I find one of the saddest and most irritating thing about being old is no longer being fit enough to do and enjoy gardening. Thank goodness I have a grandson who along with his toddler son loves to garden, thank goodness the love gardening gene has obviously been inherited.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

We do have gardeners which we pay £17 per week even.If when they do not come ,but I pay because I have to, but do it myself till I can not do it any more.Mrs Higgins what you say has hit the nail on the head and if my family lived near me and would do it ,it would be a big yes from me.
