Keith you keep on about I have been rejected by the public many times, lets just have a close look at that one.I have only lost 3 times with a public vote, now lets look at them one by one.
    (I) was your ward yes I did not do well there after being a town cllr of that ward four years and as you know in that 4yrs I was always up there working ,and the weekend of the big flood I was the first cllr there helping out and the only I ndependent one that done anything in the ward none of the others did not even go up there in four yrs,but anyway the public vote was for me to go.

    (2) The next time was when I up against the reds in their safe seat,I did not think I would do well up there and I did not but my few votes did stop the blues geting iin up there.

    (3) And the big one was the lastGeneral Election againno party just me I did know again that I would not get in,True I was hoping to get more votes than I did.

    (4) At River the public did not get a vote,I went on and after about ayear and packed it in because there was a man and his wife who would not go on the council with out each other, with only one seat to fill they were both good workers and help me with events so I gave up my seat so they could both go on.
After that I did try to get back on but the council voted not to have me,it was not the public.

So you see it was not so much was it.
