A very enjoyable race until Ferrari team orders allowed the Spanish cheat to go past the immaculate Massa. At that point the race ceased to be a race. All GP fans were cheated today.

an absolute outrage, made worse by michael schumacher saying that winning the constrctors championship was everything.
the only reason formula 1 exists is because of people paying at the gate and money from television companies, all of whom want to see a race.
any other sport and the police would be called in to investigate the fix.
Well, let's not forget, Scum-Acre was also not averse to cheating and was quite prepared to almost kill his opponents (Damon Hill for instance) if it meant winning. We should take no notice of what he says on the matter.

you do love your tabloid cliches sid.
back to the point, why does motor racing seem to be exempt from fixing?
not a fan myself, i just hate it when genuine fans of anything are being cheated.
Ferrari were fined $100,000 today but the race result was allowed to stand. So, FIA bought off cheaply by the cheats of Ferrari. The honourable thing to do would be place Massa first and disqualify Alonso. The fine confirms malpractice but doesn't give justic to anyone.
Yep Howard, one day the Daily Sport or Daily Star will come knocking in desperation for my brilliant mind.

ferrari have been fined for cheating and they are not appealling against the decision.
surely this must mean that the result should be overturned?

$100, 000 must just be like petty cash to Ferrari

exactly ken, a smack on the wrist in public, but no real punishment.
The official bodies are meeting in September to decide what happens next. Acceptance of the fine must mean accetpance of guilty practice. Therefore as Howard rightly says, the result should be amended.
I'm, afraid F1 has shown just what it thinks of it's sponsors and fans across the globe. It has also shown it's fear of F1GP without Ferrari, who really ought to be banned for the rest of the season.

personally i am not a fan, seems like a procession too often for my taste, however the true fans are being ripped off.
the message to massa was sent by an engineer who clearly felt very uncomfortable about it.
clever stuff, the top brass kept their hands clean.
