20:1832850incredibly sad story, his baby died at the age of 2, he and his wife adopted another baby and he had a fear that the baby would be taken away because of his history of depressive illness.

21:4132863has really hit the headlines in germany, on the grounds that everyone assumes that celebrities including successful sportsman do not suffer from mental health problems.
we have a cricketer marcus trescothick, going like the clappers for england, the world in his hands, then suddenly withdrew from test cricket with the same problem.
he plays ok for his county, but any travel just gets too much for him and he cracks up.

08:5832870Yes a very sad story about the German goalkeeper and yes I remember the struggles Marcus Trescothick had too, and is still having. His international career is over.
But totally shocking re the German Golakeeper to stand in front of a train like that...especially when the world is your oyster kind of thing.

09:5332880And it flags up in a very real way how stigmatised mental health challenges can be.

11:2532981Its shocking to hear that he felt he had to take his life in such a way, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family R.I.P.
