  Roger. I have been remiss in not congratulating you on your appointment.
  
  This has taken some time to come to fruition but we have got there in the end. This is just the start, the Dover District Chamber is going places but more importantly Dover Businesses will have a bigger voice speaking out for them and being active in promoting the right environment for business.
  
  The Chamber's new larger Board is very dynamic and with our 'cabinet system' in place the Directors can be more pro-active in the areas of their individual responsibility.
  
  I am keen that more businesses join the Chamber to add more muscle to what we do. Yes Dover Business Support is there to help all Dover Town Businesses, whether members or not, but we can do so more effectively with a bigger and more active membership. Local businesses are part of the local community and depend to a greater or lesser degree on this community for their success and by joining they can make a positive contribution.
  
  Well done Roger, Dover businesses cannot have a better and more dedicated champion than you and with the strength of the Chamber and our Board behind you DBS can go a long way.
  
  As Chairman, I have to say that I could not have a better board to work with.
