FIRE crews and police were called to a blaze at a derelict factory in Lorne Road last night.
Firefighters from Dover and Folkestone rushed to the disused warehouse at around 10.30pm.
An officer at Folkestone fire station said they had been called for assistance but the flames were out by the time they arrived.
The police remained on the scene as they left, he added.
The extent of the damage caused is not known, but the fire was described as "small".

THIEVES broke in to the Co-op store in Lower Road, River, in the early hours of this morning - before speeding off with stolen cigarettes.
Officers were called to the shop at 2am following a report of a burglary.
The thieves had set the alarm off after forcing open a door to get inside. They fled soon after with the cigarette stash.
Police are now checking CCTV footage from the time and making further enquiries.
A Kent Police spokesman told the Express: "Police were called at 2am following a report of a burglary at the Co-op store in Lower Road, Dover.
"A door was forced open by the offenders, who then stole a quantity of cigarettes.
"Officers are reviewing CCTV in the area and enquiries are on-going."
