  I lived in Sandwich when the open golf first came back to Sandwich and the roads were heavy with traffic especially the Deal - Sandwich beach road,the restaraunts were very busy but no much else in the Town it seemed as if the ladies who weren't watching the golf spent thier days in Deal Canterbury or London,most of the visitors came by train and Sandwich Station was very very busy.
