    Well in a kind of way this gaffe is fascinating, or more importantly how it will affect the polls will be fascinating. Gordon Brown has totally wiped David Cameron and Nick Clegg off the news channels today entirely. You would be forgiven for assuming those two had gone on holiday and left the market entirely to dear ol Gordon ..who really has a touch of the hapless about him at times. But nevertheless there he is hogging the airwaves all day long.

    As Bob says there, we all do this kind of thing..f and b in a quiet moment of rant. Obviously this could go two ways..either it will flatten oul Gordon for once and for all, or it will actually boost his poll rating due to the overwhelming coverage he is getting. Clangers like this are not as damaging as they would have been 20 or 30 years ago, we are all much more aware of the stresses and strains nowadays, what with it being a 24 hours a day media world now with access to almost everything.

    It will be fascinating to watch the pollsters in the next few days.
