    Howard, I can only agree about the NHS (and social services) being a repository for the ineffectual and idiotic!

    Roger, despite a massive struggle within, I have to agree - we are being shafted head to foot by our government. There, I've said it, god forgive me. However, I do not see any other opposition party doing any better: they are all of the same stripe, bend inthe wind to capture votes from any old place, flip flop tragically to accommodate trends, wnatever their value, and have failed to demonstrate any diffent value base or trustworthiness. Please - PLEASE - let us not forget the expenses episode.
