  I had thought he was local because I'd seen that he was described as a father of two from Deal and asumed as no-one I know had heard of him that he'd gone to Walmer Sec rather than Deal Sec. Someone in the pub said that he'd stood before somewhere else. This guy also said that Charlie really lives in Mayfair or Belgravia or somewhere and when stood before [in St Albans I suppose] that he'd bought a house to be a 'local' in the constituency and had even registered on the electoral role.
  This guy in the pub, who I must say is rather cynical, said that Charlie had bought other houses when chasing seats, with at least one other in Kent. ''If soup and fishfinger sarnies dont count then he's owned more houses than I've had hot dinners'' was how it was put to me, but maybe this chap is prone to exaggeration.
