getting away from the yah boo of keith and barry for a moment, the reactions that i get from blue people is that they are very unsure of the old etonian chap, but see him as a way of gaining power.
all very similar to the cheshire catting tony blair of the middle nineties, red people were distrustful, but saw him as the man that would bring them the holy grail of power.
i hope that i am not being too heavy here, but the point i am making is that politics over the last 3 decades has been about getting power, rather than doing anything that improves the lives of people in the long run.
when was the last time we had a real statesperson at the helm in downing street?
