Ah, the intelligence (lack of) of Unions and workers rears it's ugly head again. SeaFrance is in desperate financial trouble and seeking permission to ask for a government bung to stay alive. So, the Unions decide it is a good time to call a strike. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb people can be. What don't they understand about no revenue = no company = no jobs? Changes have to be made quickly if SeaFrance is to continue.
No brownie points either for the management for allowing this situation to happen. They should do their job and manage the company properly, and that sometimes means seeing the problems before they hit and taking decisive action.
I sometimes wonder where common sense went. Both the company and the unions have a vested interest in keeping SeaFrance alive, yet they don't appear to be working together to make it happen.
