Father's Day
Daffodils grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my dad's arms, tell him they're from me
Tell him that I love & miss him in each and every way.
When he turns to smile place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for a while because remembering him is easy, I... do it every day.
There's an ache in my heart that will never go away
Happy Fathers Day to Dads past and present and lets remember those kids whose Dads will not be returning from Afghanistan.
Right off to make the wife her morning coffee!!!and peal the veg before church.

Thanks for the timing`s Ed. I`ve lost some of my contacts now. Hope Howard and Bob made it, and enjoyed it. I only just got there myself, but remembered being told about it a few weeks back. Taken up Aycliffe, and looking down on Shakespeare beach.

Chris and I went to Aycliffe as well as I wanted to photo Tornado from the footbridge. We were bang on time but it had already gone through. Whoever heard of a train being early? Mussolini, eat your heart out.
Anyway, shoved off and took some photos of the cruise ships, terminal, multipurpose barge, etc, until my chauffeur started kicking up and we went to visit her father's grave in St.James cemetery.

It went through 10 minute`s early. I went up the top of Sunny corner to try a zoom shot before it appeared, then changed my mind and decided to go down to the footbridge. I only got as far as the top when it appeared. After it passed, another chap passed me in the subway. Was that you Ed?

Don't remember passing anybody in the subway, Colin, but I don't know what you look like anyway.
As for recognising me, think Sean Connery, think Roger Moore..............I don't look a bit like either of them so that should cut it down a bit.

Not knowing everyone on here Ed, add`s a bit of mysticism to the forum still. Don`t know how much longer though, as I`ve ticked off 8 this year on my spotter list.

As we pulled into Sainsbury's car park at 'twenty to' she shot past, so we saw, rather than 'smelt' which is a great shame.
Shocked to have a train arriving early!!!!!!
Fascinating afternoon having a guided tour of the archaeological dig at Ebbsfleet (Thanet).
Wife and daughter took me out for Sunday lunch which was most enjoyable. Thanks to Hazel and Cheryl.
