  Hope all those that celebrate St Pats Day have a whale of a time.
  
  The Angling Club are celebrating by offering reduced priced Guinness and a free bowl of Irish Stew.

  Ah indeed, shure a Happy St Patricks Day to one and all, as all of Ireland have the day off today I've decided to join them and I'm busy preparing the Irish stew for tonight.

  i saw a sign today that advertised irish stew, brown soda bread and "DUBLIN CODDLE".

  Well now Howard, a Dublin Coddle as I recall is a white stew with skinless sausages, back rashers (bacon), potatoes, onion, and tripe if you're unlucky

  ah yes I had an encounter with Coddle but just the once. It made me feel sick. I didnt like it at all and never had it since....yuk!
  
  Its similar in idea to Irish Stew but whereas Irish Stew is all beef and veg with an excellent aromatic enticement...coddle is all white and grey and ...
