    Yeah, sorry Howard, I should have kept folks updated on this. We had our Heritage Lottery funding bid rejected in May with advice on how to reapply, and this caused the project to stall. Without funding, we couldn't carry on as we were and the resulting loss of impetus, added to the dreadful weather in the early part of the summer, meant that the Project effectively went to sleep for a while.

    Our reapplication was submitted a couple of weeks ago and we should hear if we've been successful on this occasion in mid-November time. Fingers crossed. There is a better update on Page 27 of today's Dover Express, together with the dreadful picture of me they always shove in when the Harriet Quimby Centenary Project gets a mention.
