Not necessarily Howard, I received the following as part of an email from Martin Young, Chairman of the Harriet Quimby Centenary Project following the article in our last edition of Dover Life Magazine:

"I thank you for publishing the article written by Andy on Harriet Quimby. In such a short time, the Project has started to receive funds from members of the general public who have read the article, which as Chairman, I consider to be a good indicator that all the voluntary hard work that the HQCP Committee has committed to over the past few years is now paying off. In May, our 9 year old 'Junior Representative' Oceanne will be making a sponsored walk from Whitfield to the NT Gateway Visitor Centre, via the Bleriot Memorial. We will have the local press covering the walk..."

I realise that it's very 'Dover' to relish when volunteer groups struggle, but there does still seem to be life in this particular dog...
