  Marek, wasn't the Park Inn the "immigration" pub in Dover years ago.

  You are correct.That's when the pub was owned by George and Helen Baker.A great couple.He looked like Alfred Hitchcock and was from the East End of London.A super character.....ah good old days...

  I remember George and Helen well, I lived at the YMCA Godwyn Rd. in those days and used to call in the Park Inn regularly on my way home. I think that when George died Helen opened the Dovorian restaurant.
