Looks like Dover manager Andy Hessenthaler could be taking over as Gillingham manager, big blow for the Whites if it is true.
Quote from Gills Chairman Paul Scally, ""I will no doubt catch up with Hessy for a beer at some stage and we will talk about what happened, but I have no more thoughts on that as far as management is concerned."
Fingers crossed it's all just hype!

Although HESS made no secret of wanting to manage a football league club, he did also say he wanted to get Dover to top flight of non league first.
But if its true and he is going, he will be a hard act to follow, he had something other managers have lacked at Dover and thats players effort.
It will be a sad loss to Dover should HESS but i for 1 wish him well.
Lets hope who ever takes over(presuming its true) gets as much out of the players as HESS did, and has the contacts

the lure of returning to the club where he enjoyed success would hve been too strong for hess.
good luck to him.

But Hess is already at a club where he IS enjoying success - DAFC!
Always a backward step, linking up with the ex-missus. It'll end in tears.
I just wish Crabble and Priestfield would sort it out once and for all, then those of us who care about DAFC can wave Hess off, say thanks for the memories and move on.
White Army!

Not what Mr Scully says on the Gillingham F.C. Web site, he states he has had no contact with Hess. Still I have heard that before a few times.
http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/page/NewsDetailThere will be no contact between Scallywag and Hess until Gillingham FC and Dover Athletic FC agree a compensation package.
