The thread was about hospital parking charges, the profits made, the distribution of these profits and the inconvenience of digging around for pound coins to park for an indeterminate period. Sue, as she is entitled, decided to tell 'ye family tales of olde' inferring that we should be grateful that we 'ad a car in the first place and therefore should welcome the car parking charges in some weird and wonderful way.
I attempted to make light of it (rather poorly I admit) and get back to the subject matter but Sue must learn to live in todays world without this continous harking back to 'when I were a kid' analogy. It would be like me commentating on the thread about a play area...'lucky *barstewards when I was a kid we had nowt but bomb sites to play on and unexploded bombs to play with..kids today don't know how lucky they are'.
But it doesn't solve the problem of finding a suitable play area does it? Get my drift?
