There will not be a play area in Westmount, not even a small one.
There is planning permission for 91 or 93 units - a mixture of houses and flats.
Section 106 money has been agreed and restored to it's original level and once building starts, will be made in stages.
I agree that whilst it is in this state of disrepair, it looks awful, but there are moves afoot to at least work on the front hoarding and piece of garden, to make it look less derelict than it does.
There are many plots/buildings sites around the Country that are waiting to start, but the developers feel it is obviously silly, even dangerous for their business to continue such developments whilst in the middle of a recession.
