PaulW doesn't need my defence, but as I'm sure everyone could read, he was saying that Westmount is now going through due process; it is not owned by DDC, but a private developer and has the planning permission as Scotchie has posted.

It is not up to DDC anymore more - why do people think it is ?

The Folkestone Road Multi-Agency task force are making progress towards tidying up the front hoardings and area and we should see these improvements, sooner rather than later.

Bern - we're not talking about the Town, the Town's image or it's management, we're talking about a privately owned piece of land - outside of the Town Centre.

I don't like the look of it or the apparant lack of progress and I live on the Folkestone Road and pass this site many times a day.

Sue, on the wet-feet subject, maybe the Highways Agency/Kent Highways should be checking all drain-gulleys on a regular basis. There's also a problem with Southern Water's underground pipes - they all need checking and most, probably need repairing.

The EA seems to be full of warnings (especially in Cumbria), but very little action - like dredging rivers and building-up river banks.
