Just a quick glance at the drawings will show the complete lack of an ambulance bay. It is obvious they will not need one because the 'range of services' will not include the sort of accident care that is so desperately needed. PCT made it clear in their 'public consultation document' that all they were going to provide was examination space for consultants and, possibly' some maternity cover. On paper they can call it a hospital if they have some beds for you to lie down on after an examination and that is what is on offer. Next Wednesday the PCT will be at The Ark at 9am to 'ANNOUNCE' the plans. In other words they will be there to tell us what we are getting and defend it all with figures from their questionaire based on the options they gave. You can bet that little or no mention will be made of any alternatives that were written in (even though they left space for them). This was proven at the last but one meeting in the town hall where they showed graphs of the set answers and completely ignored the fact that any alternatives had been expressed.
