Two adults and a 3yr old child trapped on a wall below the Immigration detention centre. Coastguard vehicles, KFB involved in the rescue. It was decided the KFB would have to rescue because there wasn.t room for the helicopter to get a wynchman down due to trees and buildings. The last I heard KFB were in a garden approx. 10 feet above the casualties getting ready for the rescue.
If I have made any errors I apologise. We were at St Martins Battery with a SW radio.

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

From the Folkestone Coastguard.......
*CALLOUT** Job 37/2016 - Paged at 1809 hrs Saturday 20th August to reports of persons stuck on a ledge at Western Heights, Dover. Attended with Deal and Langdon Coastguard teams, Kent Fire & Rescue and Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 163.
The 2 adults and a child were stuck on a ledge above the moat around the old remand centre at Western Heights. 163 had located them but were unable to retrieve them by winch so they guided us to their position.
Some extremely kind people allowed us through their garden which put us directly above the casualties, and also generously allowed us to remove their rear fence panel and buddleia bush to facilitate access! Our smallest rope Technician, Deal Alpha :) , was able to then reach them and assist them safely up into the garden - the householder even joked (maybe?!) that they might replace it with a gate for future events .....
The persons were none the worse for their adventure and were taken back to their car.
Another great multi-agency rescue with fantastic assistance from the householders - thank you!
