The planning officers recommendation for the Whitfield Retail Park was to refuse, but was deferred for more information.

The argument is similar to that of the big-screen - some people will argue that is is bad for the residents and businesses, some will say it is good; some will argue that a retail park at Whitfield will be good for Dover, some will argue that it will kill it - time will tell, but by then it will be too late - either way.

Keith - I agree very much with your view that you should be able to speak on something that you know about, but the current rules are that you can't and I don't want someone to take me to the Standards Board for England because they want to cause me trouble and accuse me of having a conflict of interest, when all I would want to do, would be for the best interest of Dover to be put forward and promoted.
