    i remember visiting the museum of london and a newspaper article from the 1700's was rattling on about traffic jams.


    it transpired that traffic moved at approx 11 mph, same as 300 years later.


    for muggers read footpads.

    nothing really changes, take a look at the dover express headlines in our museum about the councillors in the 19th century.
