Recently I ventured into an Estate Agents not telling you where .
With out prolonging this post.
Comment made by the Advisor .After I stated that I was interested in properties in River or Temple Ewell."I dont like River "What a way to make a sale .Next Comment "Do you know my favourite spot to buy in River ?"I said "London Road or Coxhill Gardens "No " said advisor " Lewisham Road " I was nor quick enough to state I had lived in Lewisham Road .
What a way to sell properties .
Some people need a good course on PR .
I could have been a very important client or worse still carring out a survey .
Come on Dover people get your act together .

That's not the EA that is constantly putting "We have a buyer waiting to buy a property in Lewisham Road" leaflets through letter boxes is it.
Sue, Ken, if the EA concerned was of the Countrywide Group (in Dover that is Bairstow Eves or Geering Colyer) you may like to know their staff are not local. The company has a policy of not allowing staff to work in their local EA offices as this avoids all sorts of potential problems.
So, if it were Countrywide, the advisor is probably from as far away as Catford. For example, at one time, the manager at Kearsney was a Maidstone resident, and so it goes on. Ergo, they won't appreciate the subtle differences of the local property market, but equally, customers should get unbiased advice.
I did some consulting work for them on Spanish Property a few years back, and thought a stroll dwon the road would be a nice convennient way of doing my job, but no, I had to base myself in Ashford and appear regularly in all the other branches for training courses etc., too. I think I managed to work in the Kearsney office twice and the Market Square Offices about 6 times in the year or so I was with them.
To complain, write to the Regional Director who is based at the Mann & Co offices in Canterbury, or the Head Office which is in Colchester.
