08:2135970Congratulations on this initiative John, very well done - can't you get a group of Forumites to walk with you; "The Forumites 4 Heroes" has a good ring to it.
I'll sponsor you £10.00 John.

13:4835991No Roger, but perhaps we could arrange something along those lines locally,Vic yes it would be possible in 3 days but to take in the History as well, also the middle section from Gisland to Chollerford is quite testing, and of course there are a few pubs along the way.

21:0436029Well done john, some money coming your way when I catch you up.
I have Steve L's phone number for you.
I also hope to be doing a walk for the same thing. ( I say hopefully ).
120 miles across Dartmoor in March.
Still in the planning mode and if I can get time off work.

09:3136042Well done to you too Ian - great practical ways to help these guys (and girls of course).
John, Nick Kenton District Councillor did the Hadrian's Wall walk a while back (in the Autumn I think it was, maybe he has some info that may be useful for you.

19:2241031I was out walking today from Sandwich to Dover via St Margarets,it was pretty sticky,I was walking with a Doctor Jude Halperin who is working her way around Britain, not in one go but over a long time.
Bumped into Graham Smith from the Mercury and had a coffee at Deal Pier, met the owner who seemed like a nice chap also runs the Sea Sports Centre in Dover and a Chippy in Deal.
Day 1 of training done, loads more to do.
