Yes the Open Page has been made easier to use and hopefully many more will contribute through there but as its an open page I always hope they will continue to contribute responsibly.
Yes another ten or so ACTIVE contributors would be great. Sadly we have 6 or 7 new members who wrote in to join, did so, but none have contributed at all or maybe once in two cases. So thats disappointing. The idea is not to do a huge open forum anymore, it was heaps of miserable trouble, I spent my entire time moderating and little else, but to hopefully get the best writers onboard to talk about topical topics. Thats the aim anyway, as Ive stated before. Our magazine format has a wider readership, wider than say just members reading which tends to happen with forums, and thats something that appeals.
The recent explosive story about Roger will hamper what we are trying to do of course as councillors will now be very reluctant to contribute. We may not see anything from Labour Leader Ben Bano who I have to confess, I may have press ganged into it a bit. But of course he would be very welcome. He has already been quoted in the newspapers on this Roger story...so we would like to see those quotes here too.
I may have to delete those members who have ceased to contribute later in the week, as a non contributing member is about as much use as a chocolate teapot....and puts all the burden of work on the guys that are writing.Use it or lose it.
