  Quite right. Basic needs such as water, sewerage, heat and light should never have been made subject to profit seeking competition. Any pretence that it would reduce costs was a clear deception as the main thrust of Thatcherism was a drive for ever increasing profit. Between her and her disciple Blair we are left with a rapidly degenerating culture of pure greed, with too little thought for others.
