So over the last week I've been very ill. Friday morning I went back to my doctor who did ECG etc and declared that I had pneumonia. She wanted to admit me to hospital but I don't stay in hospitals. I was born in one - end of! Later that day back at home I took a turn for the worse (I didn't think I could feel any worse). I admitted defeat and a paramedic was dispatched by the doctor. She did the second ECG of the day and told me my temperature was 107°. She gave me some oxygen (it's vile; I mean I know it's essential but.....)
After my first ambulance ride wWe arrived at the hospital and I was loaded on to a wheelchair and admitted for 7 hours of tests. A third ECG (I could have done my own by now), five phials of blood (is this a secret way to get blood donations?!) Naturally the doctor had to look like a young George Clooney whilst I looked like s**t! Unfortunately it was one of the busiest nights of the year, bonfire night. A&E resembled downtown Beirut!
The final verdict was that I do not have phenomena but I do have a viral infection and an upper respiratory infection. I was finally discharged around 9:30pm. I'm now at home again. I'd like to say I'm feeling better but I'm not just yet. I haven't been able to eat for a week. Les is doing a sterling job looking after me, he deserves a medal!
Anyway, thought I'd let you know what's what and I will be back ASAP.
Jeane XO
