Images of Whitfield that in a few short years will just be a memory or a car park you decide
- 4 August 2010 22:5764044I have been badgered to post these as I am not political enough to cause a storm!
A bit of background for you to put these images into a bit of context. At my last birthday, September last year, I decided to undertake a project 52 basically 1 image a week for a whole year as I saw fit.

I am not making a judgement on decisions made by people that know better than me, but its beautiful isn't it? and it will all dissappear in the next 15 years as I understand it.
I am nearing the end and I am thinking I'd like to exhibit the images somewhere. Deal Library has been suggested to me but I'd like them to be seen somewhere in central Dover so any ideas please make them known to me.

- 5 August 2010 06:0564053Why not of Dover town? The DTC could give you exhibition space and it would be a valuable archive.
If you want a more targetted subject why not simply titled retail or street scenes. I really wish we had a regular record over history of how the town has developed. - Jan Higgins

5 August 2010 08:3864072Why not ask the Charlton Centre in Dover to display your lovely pictures, the empty flower shop would be ideal as it faces the main road.
At the moment they only have the left over Easter display in the old wool shop.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I wonder how widely appreciated it is that about 15 times the area visible in the second photo will be covered in housing if DDC gets its way. Many similar views could be taken, all slated for extermination by Those Who Know Best.

- 5 August 2010 17:2764132All great ideas my Project 52 images aren't just of Dover however http://www.rubberduckdoes.com/project52.asp the Charlton Center as far as I know the White Cliffs Creative Guild are responsible for, but I dont know how much foot fall they get as its not the most welcoming of buildings. Vic if you want a hand get in touch happy to help out, especially if it means I get to exhibit my work as well
I do how ever have another more secretive smaller project running at the moment which is purely of Dover, and more specifically of Whitfield which should have the first stage finished later this year. - 5 August 2010 17:4864141Thank you for that, but it was only some weeks ago that I done a post on what I wanted to do at the Corn mill I also told some of the members on the forum about it,but I had no takers of help and at my age I can not go it alone like I did some years ago.but as I said it still can be done.
