Imperial War Museum Online Collections
- 6 December 2011 22:06141272As we have many members who are interested in all things military, I thought you might be interested to know that the Imperial War Museum have just completely revamped their online archives. Now available to view are many images and aural records that have been previously filed away.
I just spent a while listening to a soldier up at the heights explaining what it was like in Dover during the shelling whilst browsing the local images. I even found an image of the Drop Redoubt in much greater clarity than I had seen before. You can search the collection here:

The British Museum have linked up with an online sevice to upload its collections of local and national newspapers dating back to the mid 1700s , unfortunatly this isnt free a years subscription is not cheap about £80 , more limited packages are avaliable
