Wish we had a Sainsbury's again, in Dover. Start of the rot, losing that store, wasn't it?
On a similar note, can anyone in the know please enlighten us on the latest about Morrisons and the B&Q store at Charlton Green.
There are so many snippets of rumour and misinformation doing the rounds among the men in the street that it'd be nice to hear an update from those in the know.

5 February 2009 11:3114764When Sainsbury's left the town it was because they said the town was "over shopped", never understood that. It was great to have a good smallish big store in the town centre. Now however it seems that either it's a megastore or nothing else.
There were rumours of a Tesco Metro in the LRCF area which would have been great but that has been put on hold.

Naturally, any business agreement between the owners of this store with other parties regarding the future of their existing premises is solely their private business and kept to themselves until they advise the public.
