For a few weeks now there has been a court case going on involving Jack Tweed and Anthony Davis who were both accused of raping a nineteen year old girl.
Today the jury took only a few minutes to throw the case out and find both men innocent of rape.
What I fail to understand is this; someone makes a false accusation that could potentially ruin the lives of two young men, and yet they cannot be named. Almost every day for the last few weeks Jack Tweed has been in the press in relation to this case. The stigma will take him and Anthony a very long time to deal with, if indeed they ever can.
Yet, the girl is still protected and untainted by any of the media coverage. That cannot be right and I think she should be named and shamed. Different of course if they had been found guilty and she was a genuine victim.
