  Gary, I read your question, but let me tell you the answer, the question is based on a wrong prelude! The Tories want to slash not thousands, but hundeds of thousands of jobs! Possibly millions, on the long run. They do not have any plan to bring back employment, as they will not consider getting back the lost productivity which New Labour closed down and handd over to many eastern countries, and they will not consider offering our employment market to the British, as they believe in the e.u. and the right of anyone among many hundreds of millions of e.u. citizens to come and get any job going here! They will not manage to hold out for long, because the economic situation is in a phase of decat: the system is clynicaly dead! Greece only held out because hundreds of billions of euro-pounds are being put aside by some western e.u. countries (governments of these countries) to pump into Greece's fouled and decayed and defunct economic financial system.
