21 July 2019 22:07358399The Disney Cruise Liner 'DISNEY MAGIC' arrived early hours of Sunday 21 July. Here outward bound this evening heading up the east coast for Kirkwall. Plenty of activities could be seen on the top deck as she left - maybe watching that other bit of 'magic' being performed by Shane Lowry, the Irishman, winning the British Open Golf at Portrush.
Another caller this week was the 'CELEBRITY REFLECTION'. Just look at all those balcony windows. Plenty of reflections there.

The water slide near the left funnel can be seen in this photo. It actually goes out over the side of the ship

21 May 2020 17:58362838'DISNEY MAGIC' is back paying a surprise visit having arrived from Portugal recently. No passengers of course, just crew on board like all the other cruise ships that are currently laid up all over the world.
Having berthed on Cruise Terminal 2 on arrival she moved today to the new DWD4 berth completely dwarfing the new marina pier pavillion in the foreground.
In the meantime P&O Cruise liners, Aurora, Oceana and Arcadia go back and forth between Dover and Weymouth (Portland anchorages) on a regular basis

11 June 2020 00:25363301'DISNEY MAGIC' cruise ship certainly lived up to the name. The 'Magic' has been with us laid up since mid May but 'finally' departed yesterday providing the full chorus of 'wishing on a star' as she left through the eastern entrance due (according to AIS) for the NAB anchorage off the Isle of Wight where several other cruise liners are 'resting'. She has been a welcome sight in Dover over the past weeks and it was sad to see her leave. There must have been a few 'wishes' in the air as she left as it was not very likely she would grace our port again for some time. Low and behold the spell worked! Having gone down channel as far as Worthing she turned about and returned to Dover, obviously missing us and our historic white cliffs.

To compliment the DISNEY yesterday a short stay visitor was the ‘CARNIVAL MAGIC‘ following on from its sister ship the ‘CARNIVAL BREEZE‘ that graced our port recently. Both sport that distinctive flared funnel.
Alas she didn’t stay long departing this evening, rainbow at the ready. Magic!!
