I was fortunate to attend an audience with Jeff Rich today ( the Status Quo Drummer ) in a history of percussion.
Not touring with Status Quo so much now due to family life, the guy is very nice to talk to and very informative.
Here are a few photos from the event.

So a guy walks into a shop, and says I'll need a hi hat symbol and a new skin for the snare.
The woman behind the counter says 'you're a drummer'.
'How do you know?'
'This is a fish and chip shop.

You are (as ever) correct Howard.
Still available for weddings, funerals and bar-mitzvas.
