13:4631107Hi there Kieth. You need Kennett railway station. Not too far. It was opened in 1854, when the railway was extended from Newmarket to Bury St Edmunds. At one time, there was a station master and 3 staff based there. Closed to freight in 1965, it became an unstaffed halt in 1967. This summer shows 10 trains per day running between Monday and Friday.

15:3731111Sorry Kieth, only know a bit of railway info. Actually, I looked it up on the internet, but thought you might get a bit of humour from all that extra info.

20:2231137We had to go to the same part of the world about four years ago for an operation on our dear old moggie Doodlebug. He needed an operation which was beyond the facilities available at our vets in Dover and they said he would have to go to the Small Animals Hospital in Cambridge.
Problem was it had been snowing heavily and I was away working. Luckily my brother in law Stephen was home from deepsea and he drove Chris and Doodlebug up there in dreadful conditions, and went back and collected him a week later. The operation and aftercare cost a fortune but was worth every penny.
Here is the American vet who performed the operation holding a happy Doodlebug as he left to go home again:
