Johnny Dankworth dies.

  Forgot about this, but on my way to work last night, on radio 3 they were playing a bit of jazz, (my favourite music), and at the end, I found it was Johnny Dankworth and he sadly died yesterday aged 82. He was married to Cleo Laine. I have no music of his, but he`s one of those popular British names you hear in music over the years, but never associate a particular piece by him. He composed the music for the TV series, The Avengers back in the 60s.

  I was so sad to hear this. Always loved Cleo Lane and Johnny Dankworth - they were sadly under-rated in recent times.

  That's sad news, I remember way back when, in the distant past, I went to an Evening of Music with Cleo Laine & Johnny Dankworth, it was a great evenings entertainment. R.I.P. Johnny

  Interesting that Cleo Laine/Lane spells her name in two different ways. Both are correct apparently, though I don`t know why?
