  Just to put the record straight .DDC Councillors did not get an increase in their allowances this year and csbinet members took a £1000 year cut .Staff were having a pay freeze so elected member lead by excample .
  Their is a panel who decide on what pay councillors should receive .A group of councillors are interviewed ansd advise of their work load .I must say they thought I was well underpaid ,however I now get a lot less and much more free time .
  It is up to the individual how much time they spend and if our newly elected representatives are worth that money I hope to see a vast improvement on the state of our highways and all weeds cleared from footways.
  I personally dont think a person can serve two councils but there Im only a pleb as Keith says .To do a proper job you need to be on the patch not flying to meetings all the time .
  keith Im on JTB (transport ) now so have spent time going round on the buses looking at parking .
