  But you are quite correct.
  
  I challenged KCC's Leader last week on this issue.
  
  You need to remember if central government won't refund these sums , you the council tax payer picks up the tab.
  
  This is not new , there are many other expenses KCC tries to reclaim on your behalf, this is small beer.
  
  I sit on a National & Regional Committee that confronts both the UKBA and government about local people picking up national responsibilities.
  
  
  Never the less it will still be the tax payer in general who picks up the tab.
  
  So what to do?
