  It is not just the hand out as per this subject heading but handouts in general.
  
  This is why so many are in Calais waiting to come to the "Land of Honey"
  
  All major parties claim they have the immigration answer BUT none seem to look at a major cause viz the social handouts.
  
  Wherever funded (at us the taxpayer) they need to be controlled and the clear message sent that we are not the honey pot with cash and jobs.
  
  This country has its own social needs and we must start to look after our own people many of whom are on difficult times including those who have been a member of the "Tax Club" for many years.
  
  The cost of translators etc to the "Entry points" is high and if this is not recovered centrally puts yet more financial burden on our Council resulting in cut backs on items for Dover.
