  No Keith I do not want to get rid of Social Housing .What i would like to see is the sometimes stigma ,call it what you will obout people who live in Social Housing removed..It is better these days that we have moved away from Corporation or Council Housing .If I could change the world you would not know who lived in what type of housing .I once tried to get the word Estate removed and there was an uproar .Every new build of Social Housing should be like where I live .It is difficult to know who occupies which property .
  All those awfull signs should be removed which still have DDC crest on them .
  
  Not everyone can buy their own home indeed some prefer to rent .What we do need to do is to encourage people to be truly independant from the welefare state .That means ensuring there is there are the jobs in the area ,all children reach their potential at school .Providing a clean and pleasant environment in which they live .Ensuring those who really are in need receive help but not handouts for those who brag they live on the social .
  
  I have always been fully aware there are those who are in need .It does not make me a lesser person because I think some can help themselves more .
