I have taken the unusual step of copying the frontpage to a thread. This is so the letter from daughter Kelly with the life celebration arrangements can still be found. I dont tend to archive highly personal content into the archives but instead have added it this time to a thread so its not lost completely.
Death from Legionnaires Disease: Many of you will be now have seen the thread initiated by Keith Sansum in our Members Club, and will also have seen the posts here on the frontpage, and indeed will have seen it on the News, about Kevin Carroll who died just before the weekend of Legionnaires Disease. Very sad to be singled out in this way with such a terrible disease. Healthy one minute and in a very short space of time.. gone the next. Very sad indeed. But in the midst of all this, his daughter took the trouble to write to us here on Doverforum, so an immense gesture on her part and I will reproduce the letter below in a few moments. Kevin was a very popular local bus driver and a member of Dover Saints Scooter Club. Our ace member Keith Sansum told us about it first. Keith used to play with Kevin as kids and was saddened by the news as were many of his friends.
The letter reproduced below is from Kevin Carroll's daughter Kelly....
Hi,
Thank you for the kind words of support on your forum. My Dad was and will remain a well loved and remembered man. The family, especially his new wife are overwhelmed by the amount of support and sympathy we are receiving from so many people.
The funeral is yet to be arranged but my dads work colleagues are arranging a celebration of his life to take place on 23rd Aug, 2pm at River Methodist Church as they will not be able to attend his funeral in the day due to the nature of their work.
All enquires with regard to his funeral are to be made to Farriers Dover.
Thanks again for all your kind words.
Kelly (Kev's very proud daughter)
