You do know why they say "we have to otherwise we won't get the money" don't you? You understand how grant funding works? And it does seem a little unfair to criticise projects like DWDR that aren't close to being finished.
As far as the condition of local services and amenities is concerned, doesn't that fall very largely down to the decisions we make at the ballot box. It's easy to point the finger at the council, but it's the council the people of Dover voted for. And the government too.
There are plenty of things in this town that need fixing. And there are plenty of people trying. Unfortunately, that seems to be lost amongst the noise from those who always find a reason to complain.
